Some of you might know that I play basketball. I use to play every Sunday at Wesley College. There’s this guy who’s a good player but I find it very difficult to get along with him. The things that he does, things that he says, his actions on the court even his hair gets on my nerves. I tried talking to him but found it difficult let alone get along with him. It came to a point that at times I would purposely sit out games where I have to play with him on the same team or play against him. I just couldn’t get along with him. That’s just one example of someone that I find difficult to get along with. I'm sure that all of us have someone we find hard to get along with. If it’s difficult to get along with that person how hard would it be to love that person?
John 13:34 says "Love one another as I have loved you, so you must love one another" Its is written in the bible that we must love one another like how God loved us. But how do you love one another. Have you ever wonder what does it take to love that person whom you find difficult to get along with? How about loving that person whom has hurt you before or someone that has caused you a lot of pain?
ZPH will be embarking on a campaign called 40 Days of love. Through this campaign we will discover what LOVE truly is and how we can show love to the people God has placed in our lives here on earth. How we can communicate more like Jesus. How do we love our creator, our neighbours and ourselves? Through this campaign let’s discover together a love that is patient, kind, forgiving, and unselfish and always speaks the truth.
Discover the true meaning of love through the weekend messages, the Relationship Principles of Jesus book, DVD teachings by Rick Warren in cell groups and through weekly scripture memory versus. Everyone in ZPH from kids to 02 to Passion to YA will be taking part in this campaign. However don’t just keep this to yourself. I would like to encourage you to excite your members to participate in learning to love together. 40 Days is a significant number in the Bible and I believe that these 40 days will be significant to us as a church as well. We will be transformed by love, through love, to love one another. In 1 Thes 3:12, it says “May the Lord make my love increase and overflow for each other and for everyone else”. That is my prayer before we start this journey together. I truly believe that after this campaign relationships in our church will go to another level and we will be one step closer to loving one another like how God loved us.
40 days of love is starting on Sept 12th and 13thPrice is $15 which includes The Relationship Principles of Jesus book and workbookSign up with your cell leaders today.
